Accelerated Reader Word Millionaire

Our first Accelerated Reader Word Millionaire!

John Frederick joined the most exclusive club at Lathom High School this week by becoming an AR Word Millionaire. John, who is in Year 7, has read 1,012,401 words since September this academic year. He has read all of the Harry Potter series, Diary of a Wimpy Kid and his favourite author is J.K.Rowling. His enthusiasm and passion for reading continues to grow.
All students in Year 7 are on the Accelerated Reader programme which promotes reading independently and gives students a ZPD range of books to read for their ability. By reading and quizzing on each book students can climb the levels and increase their word count. Becoming an AR Word Millionaire is a phenomenal achievement and something that John is extremely PROUD of.
