At Lathom our intention is to ensure that our remote learning provision is as effective as possible for all our students. In our planning we have consulted the best available evidence on how pupils learn remotely. The key messages are that for learning to be effective, quality of teaching is the most important thing, including explanations which clearly build on student’s prior learning, also that progress is monitored with guidance and support given. With this in mind Lathom are committed to providing a blend of different learning activities for our students with quality of teaching being at the forefront of what we do.
