Today our Class of 2021 collect their GCSE and Cambridge National results and we could not be prouder of them. As you are all aware, this year the grades have been awarded following a rigorous process of assessment, marking, standardisation and moderation completed in school which was then externally validated and checked by the exam boards. We could not be prouder of how hard our Year 11 students worked, both in school and at home, for the way they applied themselves in all their assessment tasks, and for the resilience, sheer grit and determination they demonstrated in completing everything required of them, not only during this process but during their time at Lathom.
I would also like to publicly acknowledge the huge amount of hard work that went in to this year’s Assessment Process from all of our staff. Their professionalism, integrity and commitment to our students and their progress, in the most challenging circumstances, has ensured that our Lathom students leave today with results to be proud of and with personal skills and qualities to help them be successful in their life after Lathom.
Studying for GCSEs and Cambridge National Qualifications is always demanding and challenging but I think it is only right, in such unusual times, to single this group of students out for special praise. They have achieved academic and personal success in the most gruelling of times. The past two years have been filled with fear and uncertainty; to have dealt with this and still maintained their focus and commitment must be valued and celebrated. Our Class of 2021 is a group of brilliant individual young people who will go on to do great things. We are all immensely PROUD of them!
Here are the resources you will need if you have any queries about your results. Please read the Results Day FAQ first.
