Lathom students swapped their usual lessons for our first PROUD day yesterday on the theme of Ownership. Upper School students were focused on ‘taking ownership of our future’; and Year 11 spent the day working on CV building and college applications, and then picking up useful revision tips and skills to become good independent learners. Year 10 worked with Future U on different sector skills such as finance, health and social care, digital and media and construction. Lower School students spent the day reflecting on how to take ownership of personal choices and their own behaviour with sessions on topics such as peer pressure, the importance of sleep to our well-being, consent and resolving conflicts with friends.
It was a fantastic day for both staff and students, and we’re already looking forward to the next PROUD day on the theme of determination.
