Providing emergency food to people in crisis.
Every day people in the UK go hungry for reasons ranging from redundancy to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income. A simple box of food makes a big difference, with foodbanks helping prevent crime, housing loss, family breakdown and mental health problems.
1,653 three day emergency food parcels were given to people in crisis last year here in Skelmersdale.
Staff and students are encouraged to donate non-perishable foods and toiletries to be brought into school between 18th November and 13th December. Items will be boxed up and collected by Skelmersdale Foodbank on Friday 13th December.
